Pierce The Veil interview - Birmingham 2012
Pierce The Veil are a band that have gone from strength to strength in the last few months. Having inked a deal with Fearless records at the start of the year, playing a major stage on the 2012 Vans Warped tour and releasing one of the albums of the year, ‘Collide With The Sky’, things have been good for Pierce The Veil lately.
Having just wrapped up their first near sell-out headlining tour of the UK, the band will be heading out on their biggest club run yet with Sleeping With Sirens and Tonight Alive in the US in the next few weeks. This tour is nearly sold out too. Not bad for four boys from San Diego, huh? Snapshot Symphony caught up with Jaime and Tony at their show in Birmingham to talk Collide With The Sky, tour, and, erm, fan-fics…
Hi guys! Could you introduce yourself, your role in the band and an interesting fact about yourselves?
I’m Tony [Perry] and I play guitar.
I’m Jaime [Preciado] and I play bass, and Tony… I’m trying to find something…
T: You’re kind of good at yo-yo’s!
J: Yeah, I’m kind of good at yo-yo’s and Tony can do a rubix cube in under 2 minutes. Boom!
So this is your first headlining tour in the UK, how has it been so far?
T: It’s been amazing so far! I’ve actually been pretty surprised by all the shows we’ve done, all the kids that have turned up and have been singing along to songs that we’ve only just put out and they already know all the words, it’s been great.
