With an average age of just 17, Before You Exit are most certainly making a name for themselves. The quartet from Orlando are making huge waves across the web, with over 55,000 likes on Facebook and 5 Million views on Youtube. They’ve been on tour with All Time Low and Allstar Weekend, covered a ton of songs, including One Direction’s ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, and have written their own original material. Not bad for four boys from Florida, eh?
Snapshot Symphony’s Allyn caught up with BYE’s guitarist and vocalist Connor McDonough to talk about what the band have been up to, and their plans for 2012.
How did you guys get the name “Before You Exit” for the band?
Connor McDonough: The name came from wanting to make a difference of some sort before we exit.
Since you guys are relatively new to the music scene, what do you want your fans to get out of the music you create?
We put everything we have into our songs. Hopefully they will take it to heart and get out of it as much as we put in.
What way would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard of you before?
Pop/upbeat/catchy rock.
